recording with external keyboard

When you record something in your RM1x by using the small keyboard of the RM1x itself, every note has the same volume.  But when I connect an external keyboard to the RM1x and using this keyboard for recording, the volume of every note is dependent of how hard you press on your keyboard.  Is there a solution to avoid that midi also convert this information about of the note?   Hendrik
