does the a3000 work well as a studio tool in conjunction
with the live show stuff? i have been looking for a new
sampler and it seems intriguing but i got the impression
that you can only run one sort of set of samples in
it at a time. so if you have say a multisampled map
of sounds for a particular song it loads and saves
with everything else, and can't be broken up to
say add a new song to your live set or work on
something different and use it later..?

anybody have ideas about a good live sampler
that also lets you have decent management
of new and old tracks and lets you pick which
samples/channels you want quickly? or am i
just confused and does
the a3000 let this happen? how do you
do it?

i am basically switching from using 8-track
stuff with looped sections on each track as
my live stuff to wanting to use the rm1x as
the brain triggering a sampler.. i have an
eps-16 and a k2000 which are both ok, but
the eps doesn't have enough ram for a lot
of loops, and the k2000 only allows one
multisampled channel to play at once (unless
i drop a lotta cash for an os upgrade that still
doesn't totally rectify the problem).. i may still
just upgrade the k2000 but something with knobs
like the a3000 looks mighty temptin' ... any
thoughts appreciated. sorry if this is
encouraging off-topic drift..
