Olaf - don't get me wrong - I'm not a gear whore, nor can I afford to be :-),
but one of the wonderful things about this new technology is the access to
sounds. No need to be limited in the sounds you use. Staying with one piece
of gear is a limitation - particularly the RM1X where the sounds aren't
great. Again, don't read me wrong here, I love my RM1X and I actually sample
it, but only so I can tweak the sounds some more. I would love to add a lead
synth to my ESI4000, RM1X, ER-1, Korg N-364 setup. That should just about do
it for me. Once that happens, I might even be able to get rid of my ER-1 and
N-364 (although I would have to sample the entire string/synth section of the
364 which I love).
