Here's some things I'd like to see changed or added to the RM1X...
1) If a note has a gate time that is longer than the end of the phrase, it
shouldn't be cut off early when you switch sections. For example, if I have
a 4 measure phrase, and I have a whole note come in on beat 4:2, the whole
note should play for a full 4 beats regardless of if I let the phrase keep
looping, or switch to a different section. Currently in the RM1x, the whole
note will only play for its full length if I stay in the same section. If I
switch to a new section, the note is cut short.
2) The Play FX, i.e., Unison, Octave, Harmony, etc., should be controllable
by MIDI CCs. Or if this is impossible, it would be nice to be able to
reassign the Play FX controls to any of the 8 control knobs.
3) The "Rewind All the Way" button should be linked to the beat while the
sequencer is playing. (Like the Back button on the DJX.) It would also be
nice to be able to assign the quantization of this, i.e., 1/8, 1/16, 1/32.
It would also be nice if holding the button in would be the same as tapping
it at the current quantization.
4) If would be cool if the Bass Boost could be controlled by MIDI. You can
do some neat High Pass Filter sort of stuff with it right now, but MIDI
control would make it much more usefull. In fact, it would be nice if the
whole Bass Boost section could be turned into a more advnaced filter with
various High, Low, and Band Pass controls.
5) There should be a Job that goes through a style and automatically clears
all phrases that arn't assigned to any tracks. This would help with memory
management.
6) The LFO for voices shouldn't always retrigger with each new note, it
would be nice if it could also be free running and syncable.
7) Make the Reverbs sound better, if possible.
8) The Mute 1-8, 9-16, ALL, and Unmute ALL buttons should continue to work
while in Section Mode.
Well, that's all I can think of now. Later.
