These might be a little obvious, but I thought I'd share them with the list 
anyways.  First off, if you thrown a beat together, but it sounds a little 
"robotic" and doesn't quite have the groove you're looking for, try adding 
some delay to your hihats.  Just mess around with the delay time until it 
sounds good.  If you're trying to get a thicker kick drum sound out of the 
RM1x, try increasing the Unison setting under "Play FX".  Doing this eats up 
more voices of polyphony, but on some of the kicks, it can add some real 
punch.

On a different topic, there's a good chance that I'm going to be in LA in 
August for about a week, and I'd like to check out the LA party scene.  So, 
if anyone in that area could help out a fellow party kid and RM1Xer, drop me 
line.  Oh, and if anyone's going to be at Showdown II in Chicago on April 
1st, maybe I'll see you there.
