Easy as pie ..
Select a midi track in VST and set it to any.
Select a midi PORT for that track which is not the same as your RM1x (this
saves you from hearing double triggering)
Make your you have midi in and out connected to the RM via your PC/mac midi
interface
Under Options-sychronisation, send midi clock to the RM1x
On the RM, hit utility twice and set midi control to in, and sync to midi.
Set the tempo of your rm rune to be the tempo of the cubase song (as cubase
is the master)
Hit record and jam away on your RM 1x
Hit stop on Cubase when you are done.
Select the new midi track
Hit ctrl-alp-p to set the left and right locators to each end of the new
midi recorded track
Select remix from the structure menu ? (i think its the structure menu)
Viola !! You now have 16 tracks or rm1x, ready for editing and converting
to audio (eventually) - and thats another story for tommorow!!
You may have kess than 16 tracks - depends on your RM tune ..
ALSO : Make sure that all your individual midi channels on the RM are set
to transmit on the respective channels
ie: Track 1 TG 1 Midi out 1
ie: Track 2 TG 2 Midi out 2
ie: Track 3 TG 3 Midi out 3
etc etc lah blah ..
I hope you understand this .. its all a blur to me to actually type out
instructions !!! - in practice, this takes seconds to set up.
I hope this is all the right instructions in that respect ...
Let me know if something plays up....
