cakewalk is perfect for midi, i dont know what your talking about, theres no
midi lag with the pro audio versions. and the piano roll interface is also
great. being able to fix notes or paint in new ones is so easy and perfect
for seeing the whole track on screen. makes finding stray notes or fixing
notes easy.

cakewalk pro audio, the pros are that its chaper than the other two pro
software sequencers, it doesnt require near as much horsepower, and it has
basically all the features of the other two, except vst 2 support. but you
can get a vst 2 converter plugin. oh, and its cheap too.

try running vst on just a less than modest set-up and you'll only end up
pulling your hairs out.
ive never used logic, but i hear that you need a helluva lot of ram. but its
supposed to be good, but has a very steep learning curve.

out of them all, id go with cakewalk, due to its ease of use and upgrade
prices. with cakewalk you can jump right into building a track. with the
other two, you have to learn your way about. but dont take my word for it.
