Problems with triggering samples.

Here's a problem I have between my RM1x and my friend's MPC.  I figured out that I can only trigger samples up to the third octave, which means I have to hit a key that already has a drum sound on it that's built in to the RM1x.  So, any ideas on how I can get it to go with the keys that don't have any sounds attached to the keys in the deepest octave? That or can someone tell me how to turn that drum sample off without having to worry about it going off at the same time as my sample? Thanks for your time.   Dustin Zahn "Tronix"
