this is really just a fact of life for the su700.
it is fairly easy to copy tracks and alter the pitches
if you want more than one pitch. generally i use loops
for all of my melodic material anyway so this isn't
a big deal for me. in fact, despite the su700's limitations
i have found it to be very cool and very fun to use.
it has provided the shortest length of time for tracks
i've made in s.f. acid into a form where i can tweak
and play them live.

additionally, if you slave the su700 to the rm1x, it
will stay very nicely synced. i use both, with the
rm1x as master with beats and simple loops that
i use as transitions between my more finished
tracks on the su700. the internal sounds on the rm1x
can't hang with the ones i sample, since i do a lot
of heavy dsp tweaks, compression, etc...but they
work fine as sort of "filler" between songs.

plus i can start and stop the su700 and it will stay
syncd with the rm1x allowing for seamless mixing
without much hassle.
