Yeah, impulse tracker....
But NO, it has not stopped in development! Not long a go I saw a unfinished product
for windows, based on the dos version, where you made music just like in the old days
- AND it was midi-compatible! Come one folks, I saw the URL on THIS VERY LIST!

I highly doubt it. The last release of Scream Tracker 3 had to be
something like 5 or 6 years ago. And it was replaced by Impulse Tracker,
which I think has also ceased development. It's been a couple of years
since I was a scene freak, but I don't think any of this could have
possibly changed. Since Future Crew were the ones behind Scream Tracker
and they haven't done crap in years, seeing as how they're grown up now and
have REAL jobs. I imagine the same thing happened to Jeffrey Lim (the guy
who did Impulse Tracker). Perhaps its Buzz Tracker? I know there's been
a big buzz (pun intended) about that one lately. It's got all kinds of
software synths built into it. I would not be the least bit suprised if
that one is working on implementing MIDI.

Well, I wouldn't know, however I bet http://www.maz-sound.com/ has a link
somewhere.
a quick trip there reveals that the one your looking for is probably
Dreamstation.
here's a link for that.
