Okay, first for the patch-change thing: Okay, well, what you might want to do is just get a midi patchbay and set it up so that it watches what pattern change is made on the rm1x and then have it send a corresponding set of patch info to the various units. Alot of the patchbays can do this sort of thing nowadays, so its worth a shot. >From what I remember (but the memory is foggy) *some* synths use an offset method to determine patch changes.. ie say the patch on midi channel 1 starts out on voice 2. Well, you have it set for voice 2 in the sequencer.. Well, then it adds 2 to voice 2 (which its already on) and then you end up with voice 4 and dont know why! Knowdus, one thing you can do is to disable midi sending of program changes on the RM1x.. I dont know if thats what you are going for, but for the quick and easy route, it may be better off to do so. You can prlly disable the recieving of program changes on the Emu too.. Almost all samplers have it. There *is* some wacky stuff with the rm1x as far as program changes are concerned.. I have already had a few of my own problems with the darn thing and it changing the voices I select for the tracks that use a preset pattern. I am going to try taking it out of "phrase" mode when I pick the voices and I hope that helps the prob. I certainly know one thing: I prlly would have lost my job had i written a manual like some for yammy gear.. ;) Okay, heres the mandatory gear-brag; (if this will help me get a response next time, so be it ;)) Syntecno TeeBee FR777 Emu Orbit EX5R NordLead 1 DR110 with sync and various mods tr606 w/ lotsa mods RM1X Q-309 ER-1 Arp Odyssey w/ mods Drumstation SH101 p75 laptop few FX processors PC1600 midi faderbox Roland Rhythm 77 with trig ins Yeah, I got too much crap. But, with so many classic pieces that have been modded, its hard to figure which ones are to go!
