Heres the solution, and the beauty of this device.
Job/Copy Pattern Section A
TO sECTION b
Go to Sec B and hit pattern once to go into the Phrase assign Screen.
Highlight trak 3, and wind the first function know all the way to the left
to remove the phrase from that trak.
Now you have 'simulated' a mute, if you like as section a has track 3
playing, and b has no phrase on that trak, so it is not playing - dig!!
Sorry if my explanation is a little messy ...
I use this method all the time so that section a is the minimal intro to my
songs and as i progress thru to sec 16 the tune gets more bangin etc etc....
