Right now. ;D

Its good to have you back :-)

Actually I spent a whole lot of time trying to compile the OE tree and
for some reason or another, it kept on failing. So I have done it from
the original kernel from kernels.org and patching it.

I haven't tried. If you are going to try, for start try to
check if part/producent numbers (like reported with lspci) return
appropriate data, otherwise that card might not be recognised
by a driver.

You can try changing that numbers in drivers code so it will SEE the
card... Then we can try modifying code... But I really haven't taken
a look at wi-fi still.

Still couldn't try the wifi. Will be going to it soon.

I haven't had time for this. It shouldn't be hard to make it work. You
can try testing with cat /dev/urandom > /dev/dsp* and check mixer
levels with /proc /sys interface; but I doubt if it's recognised. Try
storing 'dmesg' on CF card and then read it.

I'll be happy owner of the serial cable the next week. ;)

Still no luck with the sound drives. I have figured that the IPAQ
actually used the TI TSC2101 touch screen+sound. As we know the touch
screen works. However, no luck with sound yet.

SD card should be recognised without many problems and detected as sth
like: /dev/mmcblk0<something> and it did in mine version. But during
read I/O errors happened and I can't tell why. If your kernel does not
detect SD card try 'diffying' mine and yours config to see differences.

Hope this mail helps, in any way. Nevertheless I'd start with IRda, BT
and power management, and then try wi-fi.

+ I guess we should stick with hx2000 letters to the mailing list, it
might seem stupid to ourselves, but someone might find here something
interesting. ;-)

Lets hope to excite the others. Lets get it working!!

Rgds,

Shariq
