  Was it ever otherwise? I remember only reports that hx4700 couldn't
survive more than 2 days. Of course, I didn't follow hx4700 list
closely until I got device to work on.

  Again, was it ever otherwise and in what versions it was better/not
issue at all? I have a feeling that unfortunately we have mostly
gossips here ;-(. For example, Pawel Kolodziejski, h1910 maintainer, thinks
that anything beyond 2.6.12 has various issues, with resume, including. Yet
Familiar uses 2.6.15 happily, and Zaurus stays up to the latest.

  I'm afraid we won't be able to solve these issues until we start to
track the situation in wiki/bugtracker and work on having some
automated regression testsuite to check for them with each release.
