Hi,

Cc:Todd, in case you're too busy to read the list.

Hi All,

Unfortunately nobody reply to kmeaw's question... So my question is the
same, and a few more.

The last version with available source is (AFAIK) bootldr-1.2.3. Is the
license changed from 1.2.4? Is it became closed source?
http://www.sdgsystems.com/pub/ipaq/hx4700/src/bootldr-1.2.3.tar.gz
is the latest source release that I'm aware of. 1.2.4 and .5 probably had
some small fixes, but I don't remember whether they were power or pcmcia
related.

I believe that .4 added a power savings feature that cBou suggested,
but it did not help, so .5 removed it again. I will post the latest
source so we're on the same page.

The bootldr license is at
http://handhelds.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/~checkout~/bootldr/README.copying?rev=1.1&content-type=text/plain

Why there is -hp and not -hp version? What is the difference?

Some of us speaking about bootldr-1.2.4-hp.rom. Is it downloadable from
any location? And also bootldr-1.2.5.rom (w/o -hp)?
I don't know that either.

The only difference is the boot splash screen.

I do not believe that the bootldr is the problem that people have had
with the Qtopia image. I believe that something was broken in the
kernel. It seems to be related to plugging the hx4700 into the USB
cradle.

Hi Guys,

There is absolutely no replay to any of the "bootloaders" question...

I do not think that none of us has any knowledge regarding those. I'm
almost sure that somebody wrote it. Or maybe it just "arose"?
As Arturo already wrote, Todd/Aric at SDG Systems made this
bootloader. It is a port of the Compaq bootldr from handhelds.org
(http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/BootLoader).
