Has anyone succeeded in connecting an hx4700 to a wireless LAN?
I've successfully install Familiar 0.8.4 using the How To at
http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpIpaqHx4700HowtoInstallLinux
up to the point of networking. I copied the .BIN files - respecting all CAPS -
to the indicated directory with no results. I followed the link to
http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/wiki/index.php/Quick_HOWTO_:_Ch13_:_Linux_Wireless_Networking#Check_The_NIC_Status
and attempted to bring up the network logged in as root on the serial port -
again - without
success. I can bore anybody with the details (ESSID seems stuck on STACD0A9,
etc.) once I find someone who has succeeded in talking through the radio. Any
such person out there?
