Thanks for your reply. I have looked at this site before and the 'required software' page shook my confidence a bit. Although I'm more of a hardware guy than a software guy, I did try the roll-my-own approach with some success using the scripts at http://www.kegel.com/crosstool/current/doc/crosstool-howto.html But I'm told I'll need the patches and header files for familiar 0.8.4. in order to build graphic application (gtk) bin files that will drop onto the hx4700. So I am hoping there is someone out there who's written graphic applications for the hx4700 that can hold my hand a bit on getting a toolchain setup. Thanks again - Philip

I'm looking for an easy way to get a cross-compiler toolchain running on my x86 desktop (it's running Fedora 10) for my ipaq running familiar 0.8.4 and gtk 2.6 r10. I've been to kegel's website and actually got a cross-compiler to give me a textual 'hello world' on the 4700 but I'm stuck getting gtk to go. > Thanks, > Philip Navratil > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > _______________________________________________ > Hx4700-port mailing list > [email protected] > https://www.handhelds.org/mailman/listinfo/hx4700-port
