No, for me it's ok, backlight can be adjusted via Fn keys or by software
in power management or graphic props. The only thing is quite a large
delay in detecting AC/BAT transition (backlight dims in 1-2 min after
plugging off AC cable) but it is rather slow polling of pm applet or
missing acpi event, since in /proc/acpi status changes immediately.
