I've been playing with Hydrogen quite a lot lately, it is brilliant. I was missing a way to quickly erase notes in the pattern editor, so I added a 'sustain pedal == erase' behaviour to the MIDI input... I really hate having to go from (music) keyboard to (whitebox) keyboard unnecessarily, and this way is pretty fluid (assuming you have a sustain pedal!). Just smash your sustain pedal and whatever keys you want to erase from the looping pattern. I also added an enabler for this to the MIDI preferences page.
I have a patch against the development 0.9.3 tarball. I was having trouble getting 0.9.4 to compile and impatience got the best of me.
