I just built an SVN checkout of Hydrogen (0.9.4 2006/02/20) and I ran
into the same crashing behavior that Ben reported several days ago
(when trying to create a new song). There is also a crash when I try
to open an existing song. I'll try looking into this. Hydrogen also
locks up when starting sometimes (seems to happen consistently when
first launching after compiling). This lock is accompanied with the
AudioEngine message, "trylock != 0. Lock in audioEngine_process. I'll
wait for the mutex."
In other news, I'm working on getting proper CoreMidi support added
to Hydrogen. I've written a driver but haven't done extensive
testing of it. I get "addRealtimeNote . . . not fully implemented"
messages from Hydrogen, so perhaps this might night be the best time
to be working on this sort of thing.
