Hello,

I've recently seen in the newest svn version that I downloaded and
compiled for mac os 10.5 (leopard) that mac and windows support is
going to be deprecated, due to time constraints. I'm a linux and mac
geek from way back and really dig Hydrogen. I was able to compile it
per the instructions and the mac version seems to be working even
though there are some oddities. I'd like to offer to help keep the
mac version running but I don't know how helpful I'd be. I'm willing
to try. I've done a limited amount of C programing in school, and
know very minimal C++, but I've done enough Perl and PHP programming
to get by pretty well. I know that's the best way to get started, so
I'm willing to at least give it a try, if I can save the macos
version. Any thoughts, comments, suggestions? As a side note, as
mentioned I compiled the latest svn w/ latest QT, and other libs and
it works, plays existing drum loop my brother wrote, he was able to
launch it on his macbook pro, and I can run it on mine, its the
Universal binary version and its running on 10.5, (I did so because of
some odd color issues seen post upgrade) Here's what I built:

flac-1.2.1
libsndfile-1.0.17
libtar-1.2.11
qt-mac-opensource-src-4.3.2
ladspa_sdk_1.13

and as mentioned latest SVN. The color issues seem resolved, but for
some odd reason the pane in the bottom center that normally shows all
the piano roll style drum patterns for each drum is blank, and the
main window seems anchored to the top bar instead of a floating
window, (although this may be a QT bug not a Hydrogen one...) at any
rate... Thats what I'm seeing for what its worth.
