Hi I was just looking at the forum, and Sebastian (mauser)'s replies (earlier today I think) to a question about on-the fly tempo changes made me feel I have to correct a few things:
Remote-controlling hydrogen's tempo (e.g. from Ardour) works (in fact it was implemented by me in the SVN branch over a year ago, and in fact it was the thing that got me interested in hydrogen development in the first place). You can change tempo in the middle of a song, with ardour as 'time master', and setting up a tempo change marker on the Ardour timeline. If the meter changes as well (e.g. from 4/4 to 3/4), hydrogen must be in song mode, and the lengths of hydrogen's patterns must fit with the corresponding bars on Ardour's timeline. Meters with 'wierd' beat counts, like 7/8, will work as well, once the patch I sent in on tuesday (july 8th 2008) (H2_patch_pat-mode) has been accepted :) (If some of the new features in that patch turn out to be 'too new' for the release, we can simply disable them in the code for now.) Cheers Jakob. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards: VOTE NOW!
