Hi Gabriel,

I have a different problem, I have an Ensoniq 5880 AudioPCI and I can't
have multiple ALSA output. So while looking for info I stumbled upon
this document.
They're trying to have ALSA and OSS output out of your card and
a VIA product. Probably it is not relevant to your problem because
dmix is old ALSA stuff, but apparently they blame a short buffer.
