I suppose yes. Let's wait for some feedback :)

Talking about QT, I give for granted that any QT 4.x is ok. Is this
assumption incorrect?

On latest Slackware the official is still QT3, so a user has to
download either an unofficial package or compile, but in the
description file I've written in capital letters >>>QT4<<<.
