Here's what I've been thinking the last few days:
1. Hydrogen stays put. Everyone wants it. Noboby wants
to see any drastic changes.
2. Most folks want Hydrogen to stay mostly a drum
machine.
3. The new vision for a live performance sequencer is
a new project. It's not really an extension of
Hydrogen... it's a new concept.
So, I'm thinking really heavily about starting a new project. I might use
Hydrogen as a starting point, though.
Some things in this new project would benefit Hydrogen. (Examples:
sampler as LV2 plug-in and GM logic for drum kits.) If done within
Hydrogen, the changes would be similar to the transport redesign -- a
large refactoring.
However, ATM getting these done as a part of Hydrogen will take too long.
Priority is being given to new features. That's OK... but merging isn't
fun -- and I really don't want to wait a year before starting. :-)
