I thought about that too, but went in a more pedantic C way,
Last week I also benchmarked it against the pedantic C
way... and it 25% slower than that (which is still pretty
good, IMHO).
After writing the benchmark... I realized that RtString is
really sort of a wrapper for the C strings. However, I
(personally) like the @-substitution over sprintf
formatting... for several reasons.
The example program also demonstrates how to pass the data
to a logger through a lock-free ringbuffer.
