The controller value is implicit parameter for the chosen action... if hydrogen had MIDI note mappings, one could imagine an action to switch those maps, or just change one entry there. But one would need some expressiveness along "If the value is between x and y, change to map n." A more obvious control would be volume, yes. OK, so my reported bug is settled... that leaves just the discussion about MIDI note map, hihat exception, 2D/nD samples, which is best continued in the other branch of this thread, where I dumped the code and MIDI data.
