Just as the instructions were clear and worked first time, so did this advice!

Interestingly, otool -L Hydrogen-bin reports

/Library/Frameworks/Jackmp.framework/Versions/A/Jackmp (compatibility version 
1.0.0, current version 1.0.0)

which is were I was pointing QT in the first place.  It remains a mystery!
