thanks Wolke, after installing portaudio19-dev the build was successful :-)

yet another question :
i compile h2 in a virtual machine, and with scons i can easily create a .deb
package using fakeroot dpkg-buildpackage
how should i create a .deb when i compile the project with cmake ?

(once i have the .deb package i can install it on my laptop. that way it's
easy to install/uninstall and try it on other pc's)

grtz
thijs
