Ok, lets first take a look at the options and see how to proceed.

Translators : hold your horses for now!
Note that manual and tutorial translation is not affected by this

in moment the translation module are disabled. some month ago we decide to
finish the site(in english) with all contend first.

also in moment i am unsure, if the translation modules we use, are the right
modules for an dynamic website.
they produce currently so much site overhead. a translated site currently
create an own site without content dependencies to the original site.
this mean we get really quick a site with inconsistency between original and
translated text. also we become hundreds of sites which have to managed
manually(for example menu entries).
i am not so happy about this situation. i know that there are some
translations done. i am so sorry, it was my fault to force translation last
year.

as i know, get_text based content translation module are not available.
something like this exist only for the drupal (core/system) translations.

the second thing is that the home site is based on stories and its comments,
which makes (imo) no sense to translate.
imo, we need first a conception. for example which type of content makes
sense to translate. and how we hold translations up to date. which sites
(languages/translations) will hold the reference for content... and so on.

i think it is important to discus this problems at first to prevent
translators against wasted time.

greetings wolke
