Hi,

i can't reproduce this issue with the latest git version of hydrogen. 
After starting a new project with GmKit, i can use the mixer's pan knob 
to seperate the sound to one of each channel. Have you double-checked 
that your jack connections are ok? Which version of hydrogen are you 
using, and on which operating systems? Feel free to create a github 
issue if the problem remains!
