Yeah I remember that the ticket mysteriously disappeared after I commented on it. Basically the discussion was about how no one knew why it was this way, and that it made no sense. I was about to concur, but then I found the logical explanation (at least *a* logical explanation). So, resolution of “16” must mean https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sixteenth_note The reason why it is not clear for lots of user is because the name “sixteenth note” only contain the number 16 in very few languages (almost only US English). In French for instance, no one would associate what is called a “double croche” with the number 16 (because, if you ask me, “sixteenth note” is a very lousy name, since it makes only sense for a 4/4 measure). So, this is the reason for it I believe. I suggest that we replace 16 by “sixteenth note”, that will be translated in reasonable names in other languages. I posted a comment containing about what I wrote above on the github ticket, and it then vanished.
