hi,

i'm involved in the Debian/GNU project where we provide packages for the
"hydrogen-music" drum machine and (some of) its drumkits.

since Debian is very concerned about freedom of software (and data), we
would like to make sure that we only distribute drumkits that meet our
criteria of freedom [DFSG].

hydrogen includes (via the drumkit feed) a few official drumkits that
are attributed to artemio (Artemiy Pavlov), among them
ElectricEmpireKit, HardElectro1, VariBreaks &
EasternHop-1, HipHop-1, HipHop-2, Synthie-1

the first 3 of them seem to be licensed under the GPL-2; for the other
4, we are not sure about the licensing at all; could somebody
authoritative please clarify the license, under which these drumkits can
be distributed?

PS:
i've tried to reach artemiy directly, but had no luck so far (all of his
personal domains seem to have expired)
