Tracing the number of files open by the Local DFS, it looks like as soon as it opens 1025 files, it starts having problems. Note that during restart, is uses 1024 files during the recovery process without problems. Using "ulimit -a | grep files", the maximum number of files per process is set to 1024 of my machine.
What's the best way to fix this?
