The RSML (range server meta log) that it generates is corrupt, which causes problems with recovery / restart. Version 0.9.2.0 will be released later today (or tomorrow) which will fix this issue. The fix involves a format change to the RSML, so that's why we're doing a 'micro' release instead of a 'patch' release.
BTW, we do have an integration test that would have caught this one. However, the code was printing an error message when it should have aborted.
