Hi
I will be starting the UI portion of the upcoming monitoring features and would
like to get some input on what you all think would be an intuitive presentation
of the stats.

Currently we are looking at a site layout as follows:

Main page:
global stats
links to global Table and RangeServer views

Tables page:
global Table stats
tabular listing. sorted by name or reverse date order, and render stats by 1, 5
or 10 average minute granularity.

RangeServers page: -- very similar to Tables page
tabular listing. sorted by hostname or reverse date order, and render stats by
1, 5, or 10 average minute granularity.

Each Table name and hostname will be hotlinks to a view with all of its stats
and/or charts.

Some of those stats as proposed by Sanjit include:
-#ranges
-cpu load
-memory usage
-disk stats
-network stats
-block cache size
-query cache size
-#open file handles
-block cache hit rate
-query cache hit rate

as well as a set of per Range stats:
-name/range id
-qps , bytes read per sec
-writes/s , bytes written/s
-#open scanners
-(min, max, avg) scanner lifetimes
-#open mutators
-(min, max, avg) mutator lifetimes

Thoughts?
Thanks
Vincent
