Hi Sanjit,

Just so you know that I had similar problem compiling
hypertable on ubuntu 10.04.

Are you guys still using Google Code as bug tracker.
I've had some excellent experience hacking out some
mongodb code. Their dev process, ticket tracking system
works really well. They're using Jira, which I believe is
free for open source project.
