There's so much high quality documentation online, if you would just invest
a few minutes of time and skim through it then you would know where to
start looking.

Start with "Overview" and "Architecture", then continue with "Developer
Guide" -> "HQL Tutorial".

And maybe the Windows package/webpage has additional documentation that you
can read.
