Take a look at the Hypertable Release
Workflow<https://code.google.com/p/hypertable/wiki/HypertableReleaseWorkflow>document
which describes the steps that we take to package the software.
 Notice the RPM and TBZ2 argument that is supplied to the htpkg program.
 Those arguments cause both the full rpm and .tar.bz2 packages to be built.
 If you want more details, take a look at the htpkg program which can be
found in src/hypertable/bin/src-utils/
