Sorry, i ignored MergeScanner::RETURN_DELETES flag for merge compaction as follows: mscanner = new MergeScannerAccessGroup(m_table_name, scan_context,MergeScanner::IS_COMPACTION | MergeScanner::RETURN_DELETES);
