I received the following e-mail. Is it true that you have to buy a version of Acct software to upgrade to 3.0? I would think a new version could pick up all the info from a prior version. What's different about the data? Shares, price, commissions, dues, payouts are still the same characters only the face has changed.

Hi Danny,
I am in a club that purchased the club accounting software back when squirrel cages powered computers. I got them to purchase a upgrade but... now we have data for v1.04 and it will NOT import into v3.0 without a conversion of our data by Iclub. The group is upset at having to pay for the license in the first place and now they have to pay more! Outrage, insult to our collective intelligence, damn democrats! VBG
