TEMPORARY SECRETARY TO ICRAF's TREE DOMESTICATION AND TRAINING AND EDUCATION PROGRAMMES
Duty Station: ICRAF-Southeast Asia Regional Research Programme, Bogor
Period: 1 year, from June 01, 2001- May 31, 2002
The International Centre for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF) is recruiting a
temporary secretary to its Regional Research Programme, in Bogor, Indonesia. The
position provides secretarial services to ICRAF's tree domestication programme and the
training and education programme in the Southeast Asia region.
Job Description:
Normal secretarial duties:
- Word processing
- Document formatting
- Filing
- Handling communications
- Coordinating scientist's agendas
- Other support to research, training and education activities in Programme 2 and 5
Assist in organizing meetings, workshops and field trips
Assist in database management, including data input and maintenance, and search and
retrieval of data
Further develop and maintain the distribution and storage of ICRAF's publications
Provide administrative support to the Southeast Asian Network for Agroforestry
Education (SEANAFE), in liaison with the SEANAFE Secretariat in the Philippines.
>From time to time assist in English / Indonesian translation of letters and other

Qualifications:
- Relevant formal education
- Strong typing and organizational skills;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Good computer skills, using word processing, spreadsheets and database programmes;
- Self-motivated, independent and flexible
