\o/ \o/~~~~~~~~(((( Hidup oleh Roh, Dipimpin oleh Roh, Gal.5:25 ))))~~~~~~~\o/ \o/ From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Dear Friend, I hope you are doing well and are in the best of health. I have been thinking about the evil devices of the devil and I felt the Lord speak to my heart to write a message on recognizing the devils tricks and protecting ourselves from being devoured by the enemy's attacks. I hope this message will minister to your heart and equip you to fight the good fight of faith and stand strong in the midst of the enemy's temptations. We can be victorious over the devil and I hope you will be encouraged to stand firm on the Solid Rock who gives us strength. I do give God all the glory for the blessings that He has bestowed upon this work. There are many warnings given throughout the scriptures that tell us to give no place to the devil. It is easy for us to blame the devil when he tries to wreck havoc in our lives, but I believe in many instances we have ourselves to blame for allowing the enemy to enter our lives by accepting his temptations. There is never anything good that can come from the devil. The Lord Jesus declares in John 10:10, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 8:44 says the devil is a liar and the father of lies. Every temptation that he brings before us is for one reason; to draw us away from the Lord and ruin every area of our life. (Ephesians 4:27) (Revelation 12:10-11) Here is a simple illustration that may better help you understand how the enemy tries to enter our lives to ultimately kill us. You have probably been fishing at least once in your life and you know the main thing that is needed to catch the fish is bait. If you do not have something that is appealing to the fish, then the fish will not be attracted to you. Only the fisherman knows that the bait has only one purpose and that is to catch the fish so that the fisherman can kill it. Now on the receiving end of that bait is promised death to whoever is first to bite. The bait may look real appealing and harmless, but the fisherman knows of the harm that is waiting for the unaware victim. You see, it is the same thing in life. If we allow ourselves to take the bait of the enemy, our end is sure to be one of death no matter how enticing the offer may have seemed. The Lord knows the end result of sin and wants us to be mindful that sin is not something harmless but will in the end bring forth death as we read in James 1:14-15, "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." Don't believe the enemy's lies that a little sin never hurt anyone. This scripture is a clear warning to every person that sin will ultimately result in death. Only through repentance can we be forgiven and made clean in the eyes of the Lord. I encourage you to be strong in the times of temptation and know that your resistance is sure to keep you from the ensuing danger that is promised to those who fall into sin. The Bible tells us to resist the devil and because we resist, he will flee from us. The Bible also says that when we draw nigh to God, He draws nigh to us. Let us be quick in coming to the Lord every time we feel temptation creeping up. The Lord promises to strengthen and equip us to resist the enemy's temptations when we call upon Him for help. Be encouraged to call upon the Lord for He will surely make a way out for you. (Ephesians 6:10-14) (James 4:7-8) (1 Corinthians 10:13) My prayer is that every person will be aware of the devil's evil devices. The bait may look good to the untrained eye, but in the end death will come to all those who have consumed the lies and tricks that the enemy brought before them. If you have fallen into sin and have eaten the bait of the devil, I want you to know that it is not too late for you to come before God and ask for His forgiveness. The Bible says the Lord is a gracious Father, who is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. Just because you have fallen short, don't allow that to keep you from starting afresh and being made righteous in the eyes of the Father. (Psalm 103:8-11) (Romans 5:19) Read and meditate on these scriptures: 1 Peter 5:8-9 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world." James 4:7-8 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." Deuteronomy 30:19 "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live." Psalm 103:8-13 "The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep His anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear Him."
