The Lord wishes to direct each of our lives on to the best path possible, but we must be sensitive to follow His direction at all times.   It is in our prayer time that we are most available in being receptive to the direction of the Lord.  We cannot expect the Lord to be quick in leading our life when we are lackadaisical in our prayers and not committed in following the still small voice of the Holy Spirit.  We are to be steadfast and continuous in our prayer life both so we can be sensitive to His direction as well as to receive the spiritual strength that each of us need to continue on.  Be encouraged to pray and seek the Lord's direction for your life because it is God's will for you to prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers. (Isaiah 30:21) (1 Kings 19:11-12) (3 John 2) I hope today's message ministers to your heart to dedicate or rededicate your life to the Lord wholeheartedly so that you may recognize His voice when He calls you to move in a certain direction. THE TELEGRAPH Back when the telegraph was the fastest method of long distance communication, a young man applied for a job as a Morse Code operator. Answering an ad in the newspaper, he went to the office address that was listed.  When he arrived, he entered a large, busy office filled with noise and clatter, including the sound of the telegraph in the background.  A sign on the receptionist's counter instructed job applicants to fill out a form and wait until they were summoned to enter the inner office. The young man filled out his form and sat down with the seven other applicants in the waiting area.  After a few minutes, the young man stood up, crossed the room to the door of the inner office, and walked right in. Naturally the other applicants perked up, wondering what was going on. They muttered among themselves that they hadn't heard any summons yet.  They assumed that the young man who went into the office made a mistake and would be disqualified. Within a few minutes, however, the employer escorted the young man out of the office and said to the other applicants, Gentlemen, thank you very much for coming, but the job has just been filled. The other applicants began grumbling to each other, and one spoke up saying, Wait a minute, I don't understand.  He was the last to come in, and we never even got a chance to be interviewed.  Yet he got the job.  That's not fair! The employer said, I'm sorry, but all the time you've been sitting here, the telegraph has been ticking out the following message in Morse Code: ~If you understand this message, then come right in.  The job is yours. None of you heard it or understood it. This young man did. The job is his. By Wayne Rice It is the Lord's desire to direct each of our lives, but we must be sensitive to receive His direction.  The Lord declares in Jeremiah 33:3, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."  Be encouraged to spend time alone with the Lord seeking His will and direction for your life.  The Lord promises to bless you, equip you and direct your life on to the best path as He sees fit so trust in His wisdom and know that God loves you greatly. Read and meditate on these scriptures: Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Jeremiah 10:23-24 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in Thine anger, lest Thou bring me to nothing. John 5:24 Jesus declares, Verily, verily, I say unto you,  He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.   Psalm 18:20-24 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.  For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.  For all His judgments were before me, and I did not put away His statutes from me.  I was also upright before Him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity. Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His eyesight. All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
