As you known,  we are still using some  non-free  fonts  on  Nevada. 
This project mainly handle free fonts which
we integrated recently for Opensolaris. For keep current Nevada working 
fine.
I  do not  suggest  remove 
<dir>/usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType</dir>  from /etc/fonts/fonts.conf.

Actually, most of them are come from community, and  they have passed 
OSR when they were integrated .
