Hi,

Please replace the UTF-8 Compose file referred to in patch #5495 by the
one at:

http://www.di.ens.fr/~monniaux/download/Compose_autogen.3.utf-8

This latest version fixes the problems encountered with some
applications including Mozilla and Evolution. Now both Mozilla and
Evolution work perfectly well.

Hi,

All the sequences "dead_symbol + space = symbol" are missing. For example:
<dead_circumflex> <space> : "^" asciicircum
A few keyboards, for example the swiss ones, don't have a way to generate the nondead symbols without these compose sequences.
The compose file for iso-8859-1 defines also the sequences "dead_symbol + dead_symbol = symbol" which are quicker to use. It would be a good idea to define these too. Unfortunately the sequence "<dead_circumflex> <dead_circumflex>" conflicts with existing sequences like:
<dead_circumflex> <dead_circumflex> <a> : "ª" U00AA # FEMININE ORDINAL INDICATOR
Maybe these could be redefined by replacing "<dead_circum> <dead_circum" with "<Multi_key> <dead_circum>" or something similar?

Charles
