Hi, it's probably because of wrong network interface names. I don't know about gentoo but arch uses "Predictable Network Interface Names" feature of udev/systemd, so your interfaces are no longer named eth0 and wlan0. Read https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Network_configuration#Device_names
