He can hack existing Activities just using the XO see http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Activity_Team/Modifing_an_Activity The 2 extra steps for creating a new Activity are (I think) creating a SVG icon and a XO bundle which is essentially (I think) a zip archive. I am not sure whether there are sugarised tools for SVG editing and archive creation Tony
