The candidate must possess at least a B.Sc. in Geology with minimum ten years oil industry experience since graduation. The candidate should have a sound background in operations geology, embracing monitor and supervision on all aspects of geologic operations during well drilling and logging. Pre-requisites will include: At least five years experience as a wellsite geologist, together with appropriate office-based operations geology supervisory experience Good knowledge and practical experience in wireline operations/procedures, notably MDT pressure tests and sampling Sound petrophysical wireline log interpretation skills. Experience in interpretation of LWD data would be an advantage Experience in drilling abnormal pressure zones and interpreting drilling parameters in abnormal pressure Preference for candidates with experience in the Sabah basin, familiar with turbidite stratigraphy, mudlogging or work experience on wells drilled by other operators in a deepwater depositional environment. Experience in carrying out pre- and post-drill evaluation of prospects and report writing, including preparation of Composite logs using specialist software Strong skills in geocomputing will be definite plus for this position. In addition the candidate we seek should be a self-starter and will have played a key role in multi-discipline teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a pre-requisite.
