Dear All, This is a reminder that Institute for Research and Community Empowerment - Institut Teknologi Bandung (LPPM-ITB) will hold "Carbonate Reservoir Course" on 8-10 March 2005 The brief summary of the program is written below. You are kindly requested to distribute it to your colleagues who (geologists, geophysicists, petroleum / reservoir engineers, managers, etc.) may get benefit from it. If you need more complete information & brochures on these course programs please do not hesitate to contact: Fitri Lestari Petroleum Geosciences Study Center (PGSC), Patra Jasa Bldg 20th Floor, Jl. Jend. Gatot Subroto Kav. 32-33, JAKARTA Phone: 021-52900036 Cell : 081310706352 Fax : 021-52900046 E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sincerely, Sigit Sukmono ================================= Date & Venue The Course will be held on 08 - 10 March 2005 at Holiday Inn Hotel and Rajamandala area - Bandung. About the Course Carbonate rocks make up only 20% of the sedimentary rock record yet account for more than 50% of the world's proven hydrocarbon reserves. Therefore, it should be no surprise that carbonate reservoirs are very important targets for oil and gas exploration. This rigorous course is a must for the geoscientist dealing with exploration and exploitation of carbonate reservoirs. The course starts with a comprehensive overview of the basic characteristics of the carbonate depositional system important to carbonate reservoir development. The application of sequence stratigraphic concepts to carbonates as a predictive tool in exploration and modelling of carbonate reservoirs will be stressed. Carbonate porosity and permeability modification and evolution will be discussed. The last day field-trip will allow the participants to examine superbly exposed, classic carbonate outcrops in the Rajamandala area. Course Instructors The course instructor is DR. Dardji Noeradi whose resume is available in the complete brochure. Course Fee Course fee is Rp.6 million (Six Millions Rupiah) per person. Course fee does not include hotel accommodations for participants, but do include tuition fee, field-trip fee, purchase price of course course material, lunch and morning-afternoon coffee break, daily refreshment. Please transfer course fee to: Penampungan PNBP LPPM Bidang Penelitian - ITB Bank BNI Cabang ITB No. 236.000500018.020 Jl. Tamansari No.80 Bandung Who Should Attend The course is recommended for all reservoir geologists, geophysicists, seismic interpreters and engineers working with carbonate reservoirs. Certificates A certificate of participation is awarded to each person who satisfactorily completes the course Course Language Course will be given in English and Bahasa Indonesia (bilingual).
